Day 01: Vientiane arrival

Welcome to Vientiane! Airport transfer and walking tour of Vientiane. Wander thru laidback beauty of the city and enjoy local taste at welcome dinner.

Day 02: Vientiane - Luang Prabang

Visit featured sights of Vientiane, enjoy the atmosphere at the central market and perhaps indulge some fantastic shopping. Fly to Luang Prabang and enjoy fantastic sunset from top of Mount Phousi

Day 03: Luang Prabang – Pak Ou Caves - Baan Phanom

Join in special alms giving ceremony, discover highlights of Luang Prabang, cruise on the mighty Mekong River, visit to holy Pak Ou cave and local villages

Day 04: Luang Prabang – Departure

Visit to museum, art school and center and enjoy time at colorful local market before depart for onward destination.

Day 01: Vientiane arrival

Welcome to Vientiane, the beautiful capital of Laos!
Met and greeted by our guide upon arrival and take a short transfer to hotel for check-in.
Have some time to rest before we will take an orientation walk for sightseeing around this laidback capital city and to catch the sunset over the Mekong River.
This delightfully friendly capital, studded with many temples and Buddhist monuments, crumbling French mansions, bougainvillea blooming streets and steaming noodle stalls, is somewhere between a big town and a diminutive city; the kind of place you might find a Graham Greene protagonist.
Welcome dinner with Laos food and overnight at a hotel in Vientiane.

Day 02: Vientiane sightseeing - Luang Prabang

Breakfast at the hotel and today we will discover some of the city’s monuments including Wat Sisaket, one of the most beautiful temples in Vientiane that houses 6,840 Buddha statues and many important documents and treasures, the Hor Prakaew, previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha and being a museum with the most extensive collection of Buddhist artifacts in the country, the That Luang, most cherished religious monument in Laos and the Patuxay Monument, which is known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triumph …
Continue to the Central Market that is full of beautiful local products including Laos famous brocade and carving things.
In the afternoon we will visit to the National Museum that has a huge displays of artifacts related to Laos culture, history of national building and protection.
Later, get a transfer to the airport for a short flight to Luang Prabang.
Set at the confluence of two rivers that almost surround the town, and beneath a temple-topped hill, Luang Prabang is a wonderful patchwork of traditional Lao wooden houses and hints of European architecture - reminders of when Laos was part of the French colony of Indochine.
The tranquility and charm of this town with its splendid natural scenery and cultural sights make it one of the most delightful places to visit in Asia.
Check in hotel then after a short rest, we will take a stroll around to see the Street Night Market, a lovely place of the city. We then climb up to the top of Phousi Mount for a visit to sacred, gilded stupa and to enjoy spectacular sunset over this ancient city and the Mekong River.
Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 03: Luang Prabang – Pak Ou Caves - Baan Phanom

Get up early to join with locals in a special activity of morning alms giving when monks in yellow robe slowly walk along the road side to receive donations from people, a typical scene in Luang Prabang you should not miss.
After breakfast, enjoy a guided tour to visit to some of the city hightlights including the impressive stupa of Wat Visoun – considered the holiest temple of Luang Prabang, the Wat Aham, the city's oldest temple of Wat Sene and the Wat Mai which is known with golden bas-relief and five tiered roofs.
Later we will board a cruise upstream the Mekong River to the holy Pak Ou Caves which is carved out of towering limestone cliffs on the side of the Mekong River and contain thousands of gold lacquered Buddha statues ranging from a few centimeters to the size of a human. The caves are holy destination for local pilgrims.
On the way there have a stop en route to visit to the Ban Xang Hai where where locals distill the Lao whiskey – Lao Lao.
On return, we visit the royal temple at Wat Longkhoun, which once belongs to royal family patronage and the nearby Sackarine Caves. Also, spend some time for a visit to Ban Phanom which is well-known for hand weaving.
Overnight in Luang Prabang.

Day 04: Luang Prabang – Departure

Breakfast at the hotel and we then visit the former Royal Palace now turned into a National Museum where we will see a huge display of a lovely collection of the artifacts reflecting the richness of Lao culture thru the time. The silver smith’s, Fine Arts School and the Central Market are also some place that should not be missed.
Later, get transferred to the airport for your flight to onward destination. Safe travel!
