Day 1: Hanoi - Arrival
 
 
 
Arrive in bustling Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam. As you will be arriving at various times today, there are no planned activities. On arrival, you are welcomed and picked up by your guide and driver and transfer to the downtown of Hanoi for hotel check-in. The remainder of the day is at leisure to recover from the jet lag. There could be some activities if time permits.

Overnight at a centrally located hotel.
Day 2: Hanoi city Discovery
 
 
 
Have breakfast at your hotel then start the tour with a visit to Ho Chi Minh mausoleum and his house. Followed by the Ethnology museum with colorful display and exhibits of Vietnam various ethnic groups. Your afternoon will start with the Ngoc Son temple in Hoan Kiem Lake and enjoy water puppet show, a special and typical Vietnamese traditional art that started in Red River Delta. End of the day by a walking tour around the Old Quarter of Hanoi.

Day 3: Halong bay Cruise
 
 
 
Our guide and driver will come and pick you up for 3.5 hour driving to Ha Long Bay with stop on the way for photos and break. . The road journey there is through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta, observe everyday life of Vietnamese villagers as they are working in the rice fields, take pigs and chicken to the markets on motorbikes and plough the fields with their water buffaloes.
Around noon, you arrive in Halong pier and board the cruise and have lunch. The boat will cruise to Bai Tu Long Bay with visit to Vung Vieng village with a sight seeing to the floating village by rowing boat , kayaking and swimming will be done today. The boat will go to Ho Dong Tien area and anchor for overnight.
Dinner and overnight on boat.
Day 4: Halong Bay
 
 
 
Enjoy sunrise over the Bay or take part in the morning Tai Chi on the sun deck. After breakfast, you will visit the Surprising Cave – the most beautiful cave of the Bay. Today you will have more chance to see other parts of the Bay and more kayaking, swimming.
Overnight on boat.
Day 5: Halong Bay - Hanoi
 
 
 
After breakfast, you will have chance to visit Tunnel Cave (Hang Luon)- explore the nice lagoon by local rowing boat. Get back to the boat for going back to Ha Long harbor while lunch is served. Disembark around noon, meet the driver and go back to Hanoi. Dinner at your own account then take a night train to Sapa.
Overnight on train in soft sleeper cabins.
Day 6: Hill tribe market - Sapa
 
 
 
Upon arrival at the Lao Cai railway station, you will have breakfast at local restaurant near the border with China then get on van to visit a colorful weekly hill tribe market. It is an awesome experience of seeing colors, understanding traditions and feeling the atmosphere. After lunch, just take a short walk a hill-tribe village. Here you’ll visit some local homes to understand more about their daily life as well as their culture and traditions. Followed by a short boat trip along the Chay river then drive to Sapa for overnight

Note: if the our arrival day is not concided with the hill tribe market time, we can change schedule to another day.
Day 7: Sapa trekking and home stay
 
 
 
Today you will take a light trek along one of the most beautiful trekking route in Vietnam. Start from Sapa, you will trek downhill along the Muong Hoa River through spectacular mountains, forest and hillside terraces to quaint hill tribe villages. Enjoy the great scenery along the way and your interaction with the locals. 
Get to the village of the Dzay minority in the mid afternoon, check in home stay and the rest of the day is to wander around for sightseeing and local interaction. Home diner and enjoy sound sleep to the total peace of village night in local house.
Our accommodation is based on multi shared basis with mattress, blanket and mosquito net provide. There are shower and hygiene facilities for use at convenience.
Day 8: Sapa more trekking
 
 
 
Get up to the sounds of jungle and mountains, enjoy your morning walk around for sightseeing of local early day and fresh air. After breakfast, say goodbye to the host, pick up your bag and set off for another trek along the dirt paths, terraces and bamboo forest to Giang Ta Chai village. Along the way you will have more chances to enjoy great view of the landscapes and meet more local peoples. Get picked up by car/bus and transferred back to Sapa for lunch. You will have some free time to explore the Sapa town on foot or just simply ease your sore muscles in one of the foot massage shops before getting transferred downhill to Lao Cai town for your night train to Hanoi.
Day 9: Ninh Binh
 
 
 
Early in the morning arrive in Hanoi, you will enjoy an early bird tour by ricksaw riding (cyclo ride) to see Hanoi in a different way with people jodging, doing taichi, aerobics... around lakes, join in the ceremony of hanging up national flag at the Ho Chi Minh mausoleum and have breakfast with "pho" or noodle soup - at one of the best restaurant in town. After breakfast, drive to Ninh Binh through rural northern Vietnam to the site of Vietnam’s first capital, Hoa Lu. Visit the temples dedicated to Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang of the Dinh Dynasty (968-80), and Emperor Le Dai Hanh of the Le Dynasty (980-1009). The ancient Hoa Lu Citadel (most of which has since been destroyed) once covered an area of three square kilometers.
If time permits after visiting Hoa Lu (for the fit and healthy), take a half-hour walk up one of the surrounding limestone karst hills, the climb is rewarding with spectacular views.

In the late morning depart for Tam Coc Town for a Vietnamese lunch, along the way stop where you wish to take photographs of local villages and the stunning landscape.
After lunch board your private sampan . As the boat gently slices through the water & caves, notice the enormous limestone karsts jutting out from the green rice fields giving rise to other name, ‘Halong on Land’ before returning to Hanoi where you arrive in the late afternoon.
Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 10: Hanoi - Departure
 
 
 
Enjoy your free time at leisure until getting transfer to the airport for your onward flight.  Safe travel and see you again!
