Phu Quoc Island

Belonged to Kien Giang province and situated in the Gulf of Thailand, Phu Quoc island, the largest of the same-name archipelago comprising a total of 22 islands, has a length of 49 km while the widest point is 25 km and the narrowest point is 3 km. The highest point of Phu Quoc is 603 m (God Mountain). The average annual temperature in Phu Quoc is about 28 degrees’ Celsius means Phu Quoc weather is warm all year round. Therefore, you can visit this island at any time of the year whenever you are free but well noted that Phu Quoc is the most crowded from summer to Autumn (April to September). The most ideal time to travel to Phu Quoc is in the dry season (October to March next year) when the students in Viet Nam are not in their summer holiday and this time is also the rainy season in other beaches in Central Viet Nam.

There are different ways to travel to Phu Quoc island. However, taking flight is the most convenient way among them. Since 2012, the international airport in Phu Quoc named Phu Quoc airport has been operated. Also, most big airline companies including Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, Bamboo Airways, and Jetstar Pacific set up a route with frequent flights to Pearl Island. There are daily flights from Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and Can Tho offering more choices for travelers coming from the North to the South of Viet Nam. In case you visit Phu Quoc by both road and sea routes from Ho Chi Minh City, you can choose the option via Rach Gia or Ha Tien. Firstly, you need to take a car to the port of Rach Gia or Ha Tien where you board a high-speed boat to reach Phu Quoc Island.
