Laos - weather & travel conditions in November

The country now enters the dry season with best weather of the year promising premium traveling conditions throughout the entire length of the country.
In the northern mountainous area including Luang Nam Tha, Phong Sa Ly and Oudomxay the weather is so moderate and cool with temperatures from 24 to 26oC during the daytime. Rains is far way to come not until March whilst sky is blue, bright with warm sunlight.
Luang Prabang, Vientiane, Xiang Khoang (Plain of Jars) offer lots of blue lots of blue sky and sunshine with temperatures range around 28-29oC during daytimes and 18-20oC during the nights.
Savannakhet, Champasak and other highlights in the southern part of Laos such as Pakse, Bolaven Pleateau & the 4000 Island all offer great weather condition with around 8 hours of sunshine daily and temperatures is at 29-30oC. 

Events

That Luang Festival
This religious festival is held in and around the That Luang Stupa, the National Symbol of Laos that locates in Vientiane. The festival is celebrated at full moon in November and lasts for three days.
Thousands of monks and thousands of pilgrims come from all corners of Laos and neighboring countries gather to attend the festival. It starts with the wax castle procession at Vat Simuong and ends with a procession around the That Luang stupa, followed by huge fireworks display
