Kep Beach

From the centre of Kampot, it takes about half an hour to get to Kep City. Here there is an attractive beach with white sand, gently sloping to the clear blue water of the sea. The beach is full of street vendors with signature dishes on carts.

Mount Bokor

Bokor Mountain (Ta Lon mountain) is located about 10 km southwest of Kampot centre. The famous mountain range is long with many sacred and mysterious stories. The highest peak of the mountain is 1,090 m above sea level. The road to the top of Ta Lon is beautiful, with many twists and turns in the fog. The weather here is cool and fresh.

According to local people, since 1917, the French built on Bokor mountain structures such as churches, pagodas and hotels. Coming here, you can stay at high-class hotels and  visit the old Bokor Palace Hotel built by the French. In addition, for those interested in the history, you can visit the abandoned buildings on the mountain. There are temples and idols, for those who want to worship for spiritual purposes.

This is a typical salad in Cambodia, especially in Kampot with ingredients including papaya, garlic, fresh chili, tamarind powder, sugar, fish sauce, cowpea, tomato, lemon, fish sauce and roasted peanuts; add three salts for sour, spicy, salty, sweet, harmonious taste. This dish is sold by locals on traditional trolleys.
