During your free time on your first day in Hanoi, we recommend exploring the Old Quarter, where you can experience the city's vibrant street life, local shops, and traditional architecture. Some interesting sites recommended including the Ngoc Son temple on the Hoan Kiem Lake, Water Puppet show that depicts the unique Vietnamese traditional culture and rural life.
When it comes to food, Hanoi is a gastronomic paradise. Indulge in some of Vietnam's most iconic dishes, such as steaming bowls of pho, flavorful ‘banh mi’ sandwiches, and the famous egg coffee. Dive into the vibrant street food scene, where you can sample an array of flavors and textures from food stalls and small local eateries.
At 6:00 PM, you will have a group meeting with your tour guide to complete some procedures and receive briefing about the upcoming days of your tour. Following the meeting, you can join your fellow travelers for dinner and enjoy some fun activities together.

Be advised that the standard check-in time for the hotel room is from 14:00. However, we will make every effort to assist you in checking in upon your arrival if rooms are available. If your room is not yet ready, you can leave your luggage at the hotel and explore the city while waiting for check-in. In case you prefer to guarantee an early check-in, we recommend booking a pre-trip accommodation.  

The group meeting scheduled for today is of great importance. During this meeting, you will complete essential local travel procedures, have the opportunity to meet your fellow travelers, and receive detailed guidance for the upcoming days of your tour. If you are an early riser, why not join the locals for invigorating morning activities around Hoan Kiem Lake? Take the opportunity to immerse yourself in the vibrant energy of Hanoi as you participate in a variety of activities, including Tai Chi, aerobics, traditional music dance, and badminton. Enjoy a free back-flapping massage offered by friendly locals. Great fun!
After breakfast, embark on a city tour of Hanoi to explore its historical and cultural highlights. Begin with a visit to the Ho Chi Minh Memorial Complex dedicated to the father of modern Vietnam. The site consists of the Mausoleum, the Presidential Palace, Uncle Ho’s humble house on stilts, and the Ho Chi Minh museum. Within the complex, you'll come across the One Pillar Pagoda, a symbol of Hanoi that dates back almost a thousand years. This unique structure stands atop a single stone pillar, surrounded by a tranquil garden.
Next, visit the Temple of Literature, the country's first National University, established in 1076 built in and functioned until 1802. Marvel at the impressive architecture and stroll through the serene courtyards where you will see nearly a hundred of huge stone stela standing on back of turtles and recording names of national men who received Doctor Laureate through Royal examinations. 
In the afternoon, enjoy free time to explore Hanoi at your own pace. You may wish to further explore the Old Quarter and do some shopping. Alternatively, you can choose from optional activities available, such as a Hanoi cooking class to learn the secrets of Vietnamese cuisine, or a Hanoi adventure on the back of a motorbike and food tasting tour.

Breakfast is at the hotel. At around 9:00 AM, you will be picked up and depart from Hanoi, making your way towards Halong Bay. Upon reaching the pier at approximately 12:00 PM, complete the necessary procedures before embarking your boat and set sail on a cruise that will take you through the awe-inspiring landscapes.
Halong Bay is renowned worldwide as one of the most stunning natural wonders. It boasts a mesmerizing landscape with thousands of limestone islands rising dramatically from the emerald waters. These islands, shaped over millions of years by the forces of wind and water, create a breathtaking panorama. The bay is adorned with pristine beaches, enchanting floating villages, intriguing natural caves, and awe-inspiring vistas, making it an absolute must-visit destination for travelers exploring Vietnam.
Enjoy a delicious lunch as you leisurely cruise through the breathtaking scenery of towering limestone islands. Marvel at the picturesque landscapes and immerse yourself in the tranquility of this natural paradise.
In the afternoon, take part in exciting activities such as kayaking through the karsts and exploring the awe-inspiring natural wonders up close. The cruise will then sail to the overnight anchorage, allowing you to revel in the peacefulness of the surroundings.

Notes for today

Bring with you just enough for 2 days and one night. Packing list should include passport, some money for drinks, swimming wear, sun cream, sunglasses and, of course, your camera. A light bag should be enough and your main luggage can be left in the hotel’s storage.

Rise early in the morning to witness the sunrise illuminating the landscape of the Bay. Following your breakfast, get on a rowing boat to glide through the crystal-clear waters, making your way towards a natural tunnel and a captivating floating village. Immerse yourself in the serenity of these natural marvels.
Back to the mother boat and take your relaxing cruise to discover another enchanting part of Bai Tu Long Bay and Halong Bay while a delectable lunch will be served on board.
Get back the harbor in the early afternoon (around 11.00 – 11.30, depending on the boat and tide). Disembark from the boat and make your return journey to Hanoi.
Spend your free time to wander around for shopping and dinner and this evening, at 8.00 PM, you will get a transfer to the station for an overnight train to Hue.

Notes for today

The overnight train will take about 13 hours to get from Hanoi to Hue and you will stay in a sharing cabin for 4 people. You'll stay in a shared cabin with four comfortable bunk beds, equipped with soft sleepers and air conditioning. The cabin can be locked from the inside, and toilets are available at both ends of the carriage. There is also a dining car usually at the end of the train that serves simple meals and drinks. Please note that the train's speed is around 60 kilometers per hour and may be a bit noisy for those unaccustomed to train rides so, earplugs or a bottle of vodka would be great :))

Arrive in Hue about 9.00AM. You will meet your tour guide at the train station then take a short transfer to the hotel where bathrooms will be available for you to freshen up. Before the official check-in time, take some time to explore the surroundings and familiarize yourself with the new environment.
Located in central Vietnam, Hue holds great historical significance as the former imperial capital of Vietnam. It is a true treasure, showcasing the country's rich royal heritage alongside its stunning natural landscapes.
In the afternoon, enjoy a guided tour of the Hue Imperial City. (entrance ticket at your own expense).
Constructed between 1804 and 1832, this monumental complex served as the political hub and symbol of royal power. The fortified ramparts, spanning over 10 kilometers with a protective moat, enclose the Royal City and the Purple Forbidden City, which was once the residential area of the kings and their families. Despite the scars left by past wars, remnants of the city's royal buildings, pagodas, and monuments still bear witness to its rich history and cultural values.

Today, you have the freedom to explore the captivating city of Hue at your own pace.
Located near the Imperial City, on the banks of the Perfume River, you'll find the lively Dong Ba Market. This is the largest and most bustling local market in the city, offering a diverse array of fresh local produce, specialty foods, and various souvenirs. It's a great to wander through, experiencing the vibrant sights, sounds, and enticing aromas. Don't miss the opportunity to try "Banh Khoai," a specialty dish that Hue is renowned for.
The countryside surrounding Hue is truly breathtaking, with its serene rural life and tranquil landscapes. Scattered throughout this picturesque setting are numerous relics, including royal mausoleums, museums, temples, and monuments. Renting a bicycle to explore these historical sites, farming villages, and the charming Thanh Toan ancient bridge would be a fantastic choice. For adventure enthusiasts, a motorbike ride offers an excellent opportunity to explore the relics, countryside, and backstreets of Hue City. Please ensure you have an appropriate driving license and are familiar with riding in busy traffic. Alternatively, you can opt to ride as a passenger on the back of a motorbike, allowing a skilled driver to navigate while you enjoy the sights. Also, you may want to take a dragon boat cruise along the beautiful Perfume River and visit the iconic Thien Mu Pagoda, the city's oldest pagoda and a revered symbol of Hue.

Take a bus transfer along picturesque rural lands, mountains and lagoons to the Word Heritage city of Hoi An. Along the way you will make stops at the Lang Co beach and Hai Van Pass which is the highest mountain pass in central Vietnam, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscapes
Nestled along the tranquil banks of the Thu Bon River, Hoi An holds a significant place in Vietnamese history as a major trading port from the 15th to the 19th century. The town served as a bustling hub, attracting merchant boats from the East and West. The narrow bustling streets of Hoi An are adorned with yellow-painted ancient houses that showcase architectural influences from Japan, China, and Europe. This charming town's well-preserved architecture, vibrant traditions, and unique lifestyle, coupled with its excellent tourist services, have cemented Hoi An as one of the most beloved destinations in Vietnam and the world.
This afternoon, you will embark on an orientation walking tour of Hoi An's ancient town, visiting some of the city's main attractions, including the vibrant Hoi An Market, the historic Tan Ky Ancient House, the ornate communal halls, the Hoi An Museum, and the iconic Japanese Covered Bridge and so on. These sites offer glimpses into the rich heritage and cultural legacy that have shaped Hoi An over the centuries.

Additionally, Hoi An is renowned for its exceptional tailor shops, capable of creating bespoke garments within a day. Don't miss the opportunity to explore these establishments and get the latest fashion styles made just for you. Also, take the chance to indulge in the local culinary delights as well. After having breakfast at the hotel, get transferred to the train station for an exciting day train journey from Da Nang to Nha Trang. Today's train ride may be a bit long but it promises to be an interesting journey. While there is usually a dining car on board serving simple Vietnamese cuisine, you may consider packing some food from Hoi An for your lunch. Upon arriving in Nha Trang, you can enjoy a fresh dinner. During the journey, you'll find trolleys selling drinks and snacks, but if you want a cold beer or a fresh coffee, feel free to visit the dining car and take a seat.
The train cabins are air-conditioned and can comfortably accommodate four people, featuring four soft sleeper bunks arranged on two levels. This setup allows you to sit back, appreciate the scenic views through the window, and rest whenever desired. Depending on the size of your group, you may need to share the cabin with other passengers who are not part of your group. When traveling on a public train like this, it is advisable to carry a small bag or belt to keep your valuables with you at all times.

After breakfast, get transferred to the pier to embark on an exciting boat tour in Nha Trang Bay where you'll have the opportunity to explore enchanting islands and engage in various activities, including swimming and snorkeling. During the tour, you'll visit floating villages and explore some of beautiful islands, having chance to discover the colorful marine life while snorkeling with a mask. Lunch will be served on board or at a floating house, followed by leisure time to relax and bask in the sun at one of the island beaches.

The train to Ho Chi Minh City departs in the evening so, after checking out of your hotel room you can store your luggage at the hotel's storage. If you plan to spend the entire day exploring, please check out of your room before heading out and it is recommended to leave your valuables at the hotel reception. The hotel provides public bathrooms for you to freshen up before boarding the train.
The cabin on the train offers the same standard as the one you experienced from Hanoi to Hue. Upon reaching Ho Chi Minh City in the early morning, a bus will be waiting to transfer you to the hotel. You can store your luggage at the hotel and take a refreshing shower before embarking on the morning tour.

Welcome to Ho Chi Minh City, also known as Saigon! This bustling city is the largest metropolis in the country and is characterized by a vibrant blend of sights and sounds with constant flows of people from early morning until midnight. The city contains a fascinating blend of old and new, East and West, with new skyscrapers rising amidst colonial vestiges and a vibrant, dynamic street life.
Upon your arrival at Saigon station in the morning, a bus will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel. Once you've checked in and freshened up in your day room, you might consider joining the locals for some morning exercise in one of the city's green parks.
