Upon arrival at Yangon International Airport, you’ll be warmly welcomed and transferred to your hotel for check-in and a short rest.

In the afternoon, begin your exploration of Myanmar’s cultural capital with a local guide. Once the nation’s capital, Yangon is a city where colonial heritage, spiritual landmarks, and vibrant daily life coexist harmoniously.

Your journey starts at the historic Yangon Central Post Office, a striking red-brick colonial building with grand arches and beaux-arts design. From there, take a pleasant walk past The Strand Hotel, Mahabandoola Park, and the Independence Monument, leading to the heart of the city at Sule Pagoda – a golden, 2,000-year-old Buddhist landmark standing at a busy crossroads.

Next, head to the lively Bogyoke Market (Scott Market), a paradise for lovers of local crafts, gemstones, fabrics, and traditional goods. Take time to sip a cup of Myanmar milk tea at a nearby teahouse, a cherished part of local culture.

As the sun begins to set, stroll through the peaceful Kandawgyi Park, where you’ll enjoy tranquil views of the shimmering Karaweik Hall, a grand golden barge resting on the lake’s surface, surrounded by trees and twilight hues.

Then, continue to Chauk Htat Gyi Pagoda, home to the impressive 66-meter-long reclining Buddha – a spiritual and artistic masterpiece, with serene facial features and a gentle presence that draws pilgrims from across the country.

End your day at the sacred Shwedagon Pagoda, Myanmar’s most iconic religious monument. Its 100-meter stupa, covered in over 40 tons of gold, glows magnificently as evening falls. Surrounded by devotees and candlelight, this awe-inspiring experience marks the perfect close to your first day in Myanmar.

This morning, take a short flight to Mandalay, Myanmar’s second-largest city and former royal capital, nestled along the Irrawaddy River. Upon arrival, your private transfer takes you straight into a journey rich in spirituality and heritage.

Begin at the revered Mahamuni Pagoda, where one of the country’s most sacred Buddha images is covered daily in gold leaf by devoted pilgrims - creating a surface that glows with the texture of centuries.

Continue to the stunning Shwenandaw Monastery, also known as the “Golden Palace Monastery.” Built in 1878 from rare teak wood, its intricate carvings are a masterpiece of Burmese craftsmanship and royal history.

Next, explore Mandalay’s renowned artisan quarters, where you’ll observe traditional techniques of gold leaf beating and marble carving - skills carefully preserved and passed through generations.

Later, visit the serene Kuthodaw Pagoda, often called “the world’s largest book,” featuring 729 white stupas, each housing a marble slab inscribed with sacred Buddhist scriptures—a peaceful testament to enduring faith.

As sunset nears, head to the legendary U Bein Bridge, the world’s longest teak bridge, arching elegantly across Taungthaman Lake. A sunset stroll here - amid gliding boats, warm light, and locals finishing their day - is a quintessential Myanmar experience.

This evening, enjoy free time to discover Mandalay at your own pace. Whether it’s sampling street food, browsing night markets, or simply relaxing, the city offers a welcoming charm all its own.

After breakfast, head to the jetty and board a private boat for a serene cruise along the Irrawaddy River. In just under an hour, you’ll reach Mingun, a peaceful riverside village known for its remarkable historical monuments.

Your first stop is the colossal Mingun Paya, an unfinished pagoda begun by King Bodawpaya in the 18th century. Though construction halted long ago, its massive 50-meter base remains a striking symbol of royal ambition - often dubbed “the world’s largest pile of bricks.”

Just steps away is the mighty Mingun Bell, a 90-ton bronze giant that once held the title of the world’s largest ringing bell. Give it a gentle tap and hear the echo that has resonated through Myanmar’s spiritual past for generations.

Continue on to the stunning Hsinbyume Pagoda, a brilliant white temple built in memory of a beloved queen. With seven undulating terraces representing the sacred Mount Meru, it’s one of Myanmar’s most photogenic and poetic sites - sometimes called “The Taj Mahal of Myanmar.”

Before heading back, stroll through Mingun Village to meet local artisans and observe traditional crafts that still shape daily life here.

In the afternoon, return to Mandalay and visit the impressive Mandalay Royal Palace - a grand complex surrounded by moats and walls, once the seat of Myanmar’s last kings. Wander among its restored wooden halls and golden spires as your guide shares stories of court life, conquest, and legacy.

As the day ends, ascend Mandalay Hill for panoramic views over the city and the winding Irrawaddy below. Watching the sun set from this sacred summit is a moment of quiet wonder and the perfect close to a day filled with timeless beauty.

Your evening is free to continue exploring Mandalay at your own pace.
