Ba Be Lake
Puong Cave, Ba Be Lake, Bac Kan, Vietnam

08.00AM: Pick up from your hotel and depart from Hanoi for Ba Be Lake, the emerald jade of the country on the mountains. Your drive today is filled with beautiful scenery of rural land, passing rustic villages and farms with some stops along the way for photos.
Arrive in the Ba Be National Park early afternoon.
At the Puoc Lom boat pier, you will board on a long tail boat for cruise along the Nang River towards Ba Be Lake. Explore the Puong Cave then Dau Dang waterfalls before entering the spectacular water body of the lake.
Ba Be Lake literally means three seas. This is the largest natural lake on the mountainous area of Vietnam and is part of Ba Be national park. The picturesque scenery of the lake is in great harmony of tranquil emerald water and rocky forested island and is boasted the Jade of the country.

Check in homestay local house. Freshen yourself up then take a stroll around the village for sightseeing and photos. Dinner of local taste and specialties are served along with rice wine. Warm hospitality of the host and strong wine make you feeling at home and it is the chance to learn about local culture and tradition.

- Home stay overnight in the local house on stilts. Your accommodation tonight based on double or multi sharing on the wooden floor with private mattress, blanket and mosquito net are provided. The house also has modern toilet facilities with hot shower for you to use at convenience.

Hua Ma Cave, Babe, Bac Kan, Vietnam

Wake up in the fresh air and sounds of the nature.
After breakfast, take a short bicycle ride to visit to Hua Ma, a huge and spectacular limestone cave that is situated few kilometer from the lake. This cave, several hundred meters deep containing full of beautiful stalactites and stalagmites.
Cycle back with a stop to visit another village. After a home lunch, say goodbye to your hosts and depart for stunning ride along mountain road through spectacular landscapes towards Cao Bang city with stops along the way for photos, visiting hill tribe villages and local interaction.
Check in hotel in Cao Bang and remainder of the day is to wander round the Green Market of Cao Bang that is full with fresh local produces then stroll around sightseeing the laidback town.

Breakfast is at the hotel then embark on scenic roads lead you up to higher elevation through august view of the land to the famous Ban Gioc Waterfall, the biggest and the best-known waterfalls in Vietnam. Along the way will make some stops for photos of local daily life and farm work, visiting local homes, chatting with people and learn about traditional blacksmithing at the Phuc Sen village.
Lies along the border with China, it is currently the 4th largest waterfall along a national border after Iguazu Falls, Victoria Falls, and Niagara Falls.
The fall is with the height of 53m and width of 300m, comprises 3 layers with water falling from the peak, creating spectacular scenery. In the middle of the fall is a rock landing covered by trees that divides the stream into three currents. It looks like three white silk bands and makes a slight mist that cools down the temperature.

Later, spend time to explore the Nguom Ngao, a huge and beautiful cave locates 5 km away from Ban Gioc. This is one of the main tourist attractions of the Cao Bang province.
Back to Cao Bang city for the second night. Evening is at your leisure.

Leave Cao Bang city for a drive along mountain road toward Bac Son, a spectacular valley surrounded by limestone mountains in Lang Son Province. Of course, along the way you will have some stops for sightseeing of local villages, interaction with locals and take photos of natural landscapes.
Arrive at Quynh Son village by noon. Check in homestay and enjoy a home lunch of local taste.

This afternoon, you will take a short walk through the village to the Na Lay Mountain where you start hiking up to the summit for the bird-eyed view of the valley. The scenery is spectacular and really worth your hard-work. During rice seasons, especially harvesting seasons from end of May to early July and mid Oct to mid Nov, Bac Son showcases its best photogenic scenery with golden and yellow green patchworks carpeting on the bottom of the valley adorned by mirror-like meandering river running between making Bac Son one of the best places for photo hunters.
Getting back down and enjoy the remainder of the day at rest.

After breakfast, take a light trek approximately 3 hours along mountain trails and village back road for sightseeing of the nature landscapes, observing local life and having a close look at the local farming in a good harmony of mountains, forests and local life.
Get back the local home for lunch and say goodbye to your host then take your drive aprox 3 hours back Hanoi.
