The first direct flight from Bangkok to Phu Quoc

KIEN GIANG - The first direct flight from Bangkok (Thailand) landed at Phu Quoc Airport after more than an hour.

The 126 passengers on the flight were tourists, travel bloggers, members of travel agencies in Thailand. In addition, members of the delegation also had ambassadors from other countries in Thailand, representatives of leaders of large enterprises to work with leaders of Kien Giang province on investment and cooperation opportunities in many fields.

The direct route Phu Quoc - Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi Airport) is expected to operate 4 flights per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, with a flight time of only about 1 hour and 15 minutes, bringing many opportunities for passengers to choose a suitable international flight at an economical and flexible cost, contributing to Phu Quoc's tourism recovery when travel barriers due to Covid-19 are removed.

In the first 9 months of the year, Kien Giang welcomed more than 6 million visitors, exceeding 9% of the plan and increasing by more than 160% over the same period, with total revenue of more than VND 7,700 billion. International visitors to Kien Giang more than 126,000 turns, reaching 63% of the plan. In Phu Quoc, the number of tourists is about 4 million, of which more than 120,000 are international visitors.

On the occasion of the opening of the new route, Vietjet is promoting tickets from 299,000 VND, booking tickets from October 12 to 23.
