Due to the typical tropical climate, Phu Quoc’s weather changes throughout the year. In the rainy season from early June to the end of September, the humidity on the island is quite high along with consecutive rains, especially in August and September. 

The dry season takes place from October until late May is influenced by the monsoon so the temperature is quite high. Although the weather is a bit hot but the gentle sea with yellow sunlight is suitable for sunbathing, swimming, and experiencing local’s life on the island. 

The hottest days normally can be felt in April and May. Due to its proximity to the sea, the climate in Phu Quoc Island is considered to be cool all year round with an average temperature of 28 Celsius degrees, so you can travel to Phu Quoc at any time of the year. 

However, the best time for scuba diving in Phu Quoc is from mid-October to April when the sun is shiny and the sea is calm with clear visibility. This is a great opportunity for visitors to see the best coral reefs, anemones, and a variety of tropical fish.

Scuba diving requests some basic techniques and you need to follow the guidelines of your instructor to ensure your safety. You always need to dive with other people, swim carefully, and do not dive too deep for a long time. Drinking alcohol before diving is prohibited. During the diving session, you are not allowed to destroy any coral or marine creatures. When getting back to the shore, you must wait for at least 24 hours to recover the full body before participating in other activities.
