Buddha Park

Also known as Spirit City, Buddha Park is a bizarre-yet-enjoyable attraction for visitors who come to Vientiane capital, Laos.
Located 25km in the South of Vientiane capital, Xieng Khuan, also known as Buddha Park, and was created and built in 1958 by Luang Pu Bunleua Sulilat, a yogi-priest-shaman who merged Hindu and Buddhist philosophy, mythology and iconography into a cryptic whole.

Highlights of Buddha Park is a unique combination of Hinduism and Buddhism in a sculpture garden housing over 200 statues in different sizes from small to large. In which the most spectacular sculpture is a giant pumpkin with three floors, is a representation of Hell, Earth and Heaven. There is a staircase inside this pumpkin leads to the platform on the top, from where you will surely appropriate a great view of the Buddha park and take your very nice shots. Another attraction is the statue of Buddha lying leisurely in Centre of the park, with 40m length.
