Ta Giang Phinh is an ancient village located on the foot of of the majestic Ngu Chi Son mountain, also known as Buddha’s fingers moutain, belongs to Hoang Lien Son range, Sapa district, Lao Cai province. It’s approximately 30km from Sapa Town but because the road from Sapa to Ta Giang Phinh village is not easy, so it takes over 1 hours driving.

The highlight of Ta Giang Phinh are the beauty of landscapes with the paddy terraces, stunning waterfalls, some old magnificent forests and the winding road to the village. If the weather is nice, this is a great spot for you to admire majestic Ngu Chi Son mountain in 2850m height, the second-highest one in the Sapa area (after Fansipan mountain). Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, the attraction for tourists is the untouched local villages of local ethnics with authentic cultures. The most people in Ta Giang Phinh village are Hmong, Red dzao and Zat. Coming here, you will learn about the differences of each ethnic group with their house styles, lifestyles, language and unique dresses. Here you can observe some activities such as plowing, harrowing, harvesting and doing housework or interact to the local directly. The people are friendly and everything is not yet influenced by tourism so still stays authentic.

A visit to Ta Giang Phinh village will offer you unique experiences such as walking, trekking, cycling or driving a motorbike through the trails of the village. You will have quiet moments to enjoy marvel nature & deepen your knowledge of local life. If visiting here on a hot day, you can also experience to swim in a mountain stream.

Normally, in Sapa trip, you can spend a full-day to explore Ta Giang Phinh village. On the way from Sapa town, you can have a short stop at O Quy Ho valley and enjoy a spectacular view. This destination is also often combined with Ban Khoang village for visitors to have unique and great experiences in Sapa in particular and Vietnam in general.
