Thanh Chuong's Viet Palace

Located on Soc Son mountainous area, outside of the Hanoi capital city, Thanh Chuong’s Viet palace is considered a valuable museum with the special architectural style of Vietnamese folklore. The palace owns 25 cultural works which are in the great combination of architecture, art, sculpture, religion, and food. Although the works are quite simple and closed to Vietnamese people, they are still very sophisticated and all of them have the same purpose of telling the impressive story of Vietnam’s cultural history. Some belief works featuring our nation’s unique spiritual life can be named as are Thien altar, stone altar, Son Tinh, Pho Hien Bodhisattva statue, and Ngua temple. In the effort of protecting and preserving the essence of these important constructions, the manager of the palace has sourced lots of relics from other provinces covering the country’s 54 ethnic groups, such as a 500-year-old stone bridge and some local stilt houses. Furthermore, Thanh Chuong’s Viet Palace is not only a beautiful stage for performing some kinds of cultural and art heritages including ceremonial song, “Hau Dong”, strolling blind music, the traditional operetta, “Chau Van”, quan ho folk song, water puppetry… but also a natural museum displaying the priceless collections of rare antiques originated from the old dynasties of Dinh, Ly, Tran, Le and famous paintings of Thanh Chuong and other Vietnamese well-known artists.
